Cruise Itinerary

The Honolulu City Lights Sunset Sail departs from Kewalo Harbor in downtown Honolulu. From the harbor, you'll sail along the coast of Oahu's beautiful southern shore. With the sun still high in the sky, it’s impossible to miss the golden beaches of Waikiki and the towering shape of Diamond Head Crater. With plenty of room to walk around the viewing decks and outdoor seating available, you'll enjoy an unimpeded view of Oahu's impressive coastline. The "golden hour" before sunset, when light appears warmest and softest, is the perfect time for taking those postcard worthy photos or just soaking up the amazing view.

Dolphins often come to swim with the ship in HawaiiAs the Makani cruises along the calm coastal waters, keep your eyes peeled for any marine animals that may be in the area. Dolphins and sea turtles are the most frequently spotted animals on the cruise. Humpback whales are also occasionally spotted in the winter, during their annual migration to Hawaiian waters.

As the sun starts to sink toward the horizon, vibrant hues light up the sky. Hawaiian sunsets are breathtaking from any perspective but savoring one from aboard a luxury catamaran while sipping on a tropical cocktail is an event.

As the cruise heads back to the harbor you'll enjoy watching the Honolulu skyline light up and the early night sky from the viewing decks. You'll arrive back at the dock around 7 pm, just in time for dinner. You'll have plenty of time to explore downtown Honolulu's vibrant food scene or travel back to Waikiki without feeling rushed.
