Description

Experience the highlights of the #1 attraction on Oahu and see many other Honolulu landmarks while on the Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour. If you have limited time on your vacation schedule or simply prefer a short trip to Pearl Harbor, this tour is a good fit. Round-trip transportation from Waikiki, a knowledgeable tour guide, and tickets to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and USS Arizona Memorial are included.

As you travel toward the headquarters of the United States Pacific Fleet, enjoy the scenery and take mental notes as your tour guide shares the tips and tricks to getting the most out of your time at Pearl Harbor.

Your tour starts at the WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument. The seemingly endless exhibits, memorabilia, and artifacts in the museum will help you retrace the events leading up to the December 7, 1941 surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. Don’t miss the 23-minute film with actual footage captured on the “date which will live in infamy.”

A Navy vessel will transport you to the Arizona Memorial, built directly over the submerged wreckage of the USS Arizona, the final resting place for so many servicemen. As you witness the “Black Tears of the Arizona,” the slowly seeping oil from the ship, feel the emotional gravity emanating from the memorial. Take some time to acknowledge the sacrifice made as you read the names of the 1177 men listed on the Remembrance Wall.

Before you know it, you will be relaxing in air conditioning as your tour continues to the Punchbowl National Cemetery, located in the crater of an extinct volcano. The Hawaiian name for Punchbowl is “Puowaina,” which aptly translates to “Hill of Sacrifice.” There are over 13,000 WWII military personnel laid to rest here, including some of the casualties from Pearl Harbor. There is a great sense of serenity in this military cemetery.

Learn about Hawaii’s history and culture through your guide’s colorful commentary as you pass by landmarks such as the Hawaii State Capitol Building. You will also see Iolani Palace, the home of the Hawaiian monarchy until Queen Lili’uokalani was overthrown in 1893.

The tour will stop at the King Kamehameha Statue, a towering 18-foot-tall bronze statue that was cast in Italy. King Kamehameha I was a great warrior who united the Hawaiian Islands into one kingdom in 1810.

A professional guide and pre-arranged logistics make a huge difference when you’re on a tight schedule, and the Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour takes care of all of that.

Know before you book:

  • We encourage visitors to not bring bags to Pearl Harbor. There is often a line to put your bag in storage and to retrieve it. Standing in this long line may prevent you from getting your tickets for the Arizona Memorial. That is a mistake that you do not want to make.
  • The fee for baggage storage at Pearl Harbor is $6.00.
  • Tour buses do not permit guests to leave bags in the vehicle.

Pearl Harbor Hours:

  • Daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
