1.5 Hour Scenic Trail Ride (North Shore)
Enjoy a relaxing horseback ride through one of Oahu’s hidden treasures—the 600-hundred-acre Gunstock Ranch located near Hawaii's famed North Shore. A guided horseback tour is one of the best (and most popular) ways to experience the beautiful Hawaiian countryside up-close.
'Paniolo' in Hawaiian means cowboy. Since the introduction of horses and cattle to the islands, this uniquely Hawaiian cowboy culture has flourished. Paniolos crafted their own style of saddles, gear and even created their own style of music.
The 1.5 Hour Scenic Horseback Ride is your chance to experience a little bit of that Hawaiian paniolo culture first-hand. Gunstock Ranch remains a working cattle ranch to this day. They offer an authentic Hawaiian experience far away from the crowds. Gunstock also keeps their tours small and intimate so you can have an unforgettable shared experience with your family and friends.
Along the way, you'll see some of the North Shore’s most beautiful sights including:
- The hidden cave featured on Hawaii 5-0
- The always awe-inspiring Pacific Ocean
- Views of Mololi'i island, or Chinaman’s Hat
- Much more!
You and your horse will travel through shady forest trails and trek across open pastures, spotting grazing cattle, soaring island birds, and maybe even a family of wild pigs.
The grand finale of the tour is the lookout over the stunning North Shore coastline and the quiet town of Laie, nestled on the edge of the crystal-clear ocean. It’s a great spot for photos and a quiet moment of relaxation and reflection.
