Rock-A-Hula (Upscale Luau Show)
If you are looking for a great luau buffet and a fun, entertaining evening in Waikiki, then this is the package for you!
This upscale luau buffet and musical extravaganza is conveniently located right in the center of Waikiki and within walking distance of most of the major hotels in the area. Both the luau and the Rock-a-hula show are located on the fourth floor of Building B in the Royal Hawaiian Center.
The luau is held on the terrace under a large tent, and afterwards guests move into the Royal Hawaiian Theater for the Rock-a-Hula show. Both venues are protected from the elements – making this one of the few activities on Oahu that is not weather dependent. It is a perfect way to spend a rainy evening or a fun night out without having to travel too far from your hotel.
The Waikiki Luau Buffet and Rock-a-hula show are held six nights a week, Saturday thru Thursday. Check in begins at 5:30 pm.
Waikiki Luau Buffet
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a traditional Hawaiian greeting and a complimentary Mai tai (with or without alcohol). Live Hawaiian music is played throughout the luau and hula dancing is performed while you dine. Slow roasted Kalua pork is the featured entrée, along with roast beef, chicken, fish, and many other traditional Hawaiian foods and local favorites. This upscale luau buffet incorporates many locally grown or produced ingredients and offers one of the best selections of vegan and vegetarian options of any luau buffet on Oahu. The full luau menu is listed below.
After dinner guests move to the Royal Hawaiian Theater, which is a 750-seat mezzanine style theater. Once you get settled in your premier seats, prepare for an evening of high-energy, Las Vegas-style entertainment.
You'll be blown away by this impressive Las Vegas caliber multimedia stage production! “Rock-a-Hula®” was designed for Hawaii by the creators of Las Vegas’s world-famous Legends in Concert. Rock-a-Hula is the largest show in town and features two exceptional tribute artists who will bring Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson back to life right before your eyes. Oahu’s own Johnny Fortuno (Elvis Presley) and Corey Melton (Michael Jackson) are world-class artists/performers, who have been winning tribute competitions and delighting audiences from around the world for decades.
These talented tribute artists will perform some of your favorite songs – while accompanied by some of the finest Polynesian musicians around and the largest cast of stage performers in Waikiki. You'll be mesmerized by the Hawaiian and Tahitian dancing performed by some of the best dancers in the islands. Finally, as if all this talent together on one stage wasn’t impressive enough, the fire-knife dancing performance will take the show to a whole new level. Guests will also get a chance to meet and take photos with this enormous cast of talented performers after the show.
The Polynesian rhythms and old school rock and pop music will have you dancing in your seat – and the electrifying fire-knife performance will have you on the edge of your seat. Rock-a-Hula is a phenomenon you will not forget!
