Description

Experience the thrill of flying from tree to tree and reaching speeds up to 45 MPH while taking in the beauty of the Big Island's forest canopy. "Exhilarating" is the only accurate way to describe the Kohala Zipline Canopy tour. You’ll enjoy a three-hour heart-pounding thrill-ride, a fun cruise through the jungle in an off-road vehicle, plus expansive views of the Big Island’s natural beauty everywhere you look.

High Above the Canopy

What awaits you high above the canopies of the Big Island’s lush rainforest? A whole world of fun and adventure and breathtaking views is waiting for you!

Guest can race on dual lines in the tree canopy at Kohala Zipline

The Kohala Zipline Canopy tour is ideal for travelers of all ages. Your adventure starts with a trek through a private nature preserve that is home to this sustainable aerial course. You'll hop into an off-road 6-wheeler and will then be whisked through the preserve to the top of the aerial zipline course. Be sure to enjoy the opportunity to experience the Big Island's plant life, bursting with color, as your cruise along.

As beautiful as the course is from the ground, the thrills are in the air. A series of 5 sky bridges will take you throughout the canopies while a rappel serves as your access back down to the ground. From your vantage point, the Pacific Ocean, the Kohala Coast, and the island of Maui will be in full view.

Along with the sky bridges, you’ll also have access to eight different zipline courses.

A Kohala Zipline tour includes a ride in the Pinzgauer Austrian military vehicle.

Tree-to-Tree Zipping

From one tree to the next, you’ll zip across Kohala’s canopies, zooming through a series of lines without having to climb down and back up a platform to the next course. As you speed along at up to 45 mph, you’ll be privy to unforgettable views of The Big Island, including remnants of Hawaii’s agriculture systems from long, long ago.

It’s difficult to not get lost in the expanse of beauty that fills your vision, and thanks to our extremely safe and modernized zipline system, you’ll be able to enjoy it without having to concern yourself with speed regulation or braking.
