Included in your award-winning Hawaiian evening is a luau feast served buffet style. There's even an open bar included in the price! The show features graceful hula dancers, traditional fire knife dancing, fire poi ball twirlers, Tahitian rhythms, incredible live music and drumming. Also included in your show price is access to shops of the Kilohana Plantation and a craft fair featuring local artisans.
As with other luaus, Luau Kalamaku features delicious island food, including the best locally-grown and -caught foods cooked by traditional methods, set out buffet style. The show begins with a dramatic imu (the underground oven where some of the feast's delicacies are roasted) and torch lighting ceremony, followed by a range of music, dancing, and storytelling.
However, this is where the similarity to other luaus ends. Luau Kalamaku features an interactive stage design, with a state-of-the-art media system that transports you back in time to ancient Polynesia, where you relive the extraordinary migration to the islands .
This theatrical luau concludes with a dramatic Fire Dream, incorporating traditional fire knife dancing and fire poi balls with the story of a fire goddess, a prince of Kauai, and a fire-breathing mo'o-dragon as the cast pay homage to Kauai folklore.
